Having a ‘gneiss’ time! Bouldering at Col de Montets!

Quite a short post and not much to say on this one to be honest! Just had another down day, and this time the rain has held off long enough to get on some routes and have a good hard days bouldering!

A five minute walk from the car park and we were faced with two large boulders, with five or so metres in height it was enough to test the nerves near the top, there was enough problems to entertain us for the rest of the day. The variety of routes was also very good, from tough overhangs to fingery slab and face moves. Although there was some higher grade climbs available I managed to climb a 6b and a few 6a’s so Im very pleased with my climbing today! Add to this no pain in my elbows? hopefully this is a sign of good things to come!

The weather looks as if it is continuing to disregard our climbing wishes, so hopefully we get a week or two with some good weather and are able to get in to the mountains, as that is what we are here to do!
